In today’s society with the shaky economy, the fast-paced lifestyle most people live, and the stress caused by having to move, a new baby, marriage, divorce, or the death of a loved one thing can really build up leaving us feeling fragile and irritable. Some of the areas proven to be affected by stress include the brain, heart, joints, stomach, and reproductive system. This is especially true for those with preexisting health concerns. Excessive stress due to Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can put additional strain on someone with a fragile heart, which can lead to hypertension, and even heart attacks.
While you can’t avoid all stressful situations there are things you can do that will help you cope with the stress in your life.
Find time to relax. Even a few minutes of genuine relaxation will lower your stress levels.
Get plenty of sleep. Your body and your mind need time to rejuvenate. Exercise. Something as simple as a stroll around the block can clear your mind, lower your blood pressure, and relax your muscles.
Laugh. Laughter is one of the surest ways to beat stress, it is impossible to feel stress when you are having a good laugh. Think positive. The more positively we can look at any situation the less likely we are to feel stress. Whenever you feel the stress building inside you concentrate on taking 10 slow deep breaths. Taking care of yourself is the best way to cope with the stress in your life.
Dealing With Anxiety

The symptoms alone such as shortness of breath, racing heart, profuse sweating, and nausea can make you feel as though you are dying and increase your anxiety levels making normal daily functioning difficult. Get help. While there is little medicine can do to relieve anxiety, therapy can help you to discover what is causing your anxiety and ways to effectively lower your anxiety levels.
Learn to recognize the signs of your anxiety escalating and create a diversion. Usually, there are signs that an anxiety attack is about to occur before it becomes full-blown.
